Fam, I woke up this morning #grateful.
Fam, I’ve done done it again…I’ve published another essay. 🙂 This one’s sharing my truth about why I’m so committed to teaching creative writing to girls in prison.
GM, Fam! Not sure what time it is where you are, but here’s it’s 5:30 in the morning. That’s pretty damn early for me, but I can’t sleep, because my mind is still racing from my final edit session with Rachel.
It’s almost noon here in Pasadena and already 2017 is off to a great start. And you all have something to do what that. 🙂
Just delivered the manuscript of each book to my editor, Rachel, and once she takes her red pen to it and gets it back to me, I’m on my way to publishing!
Just had a lunch meeting with Rachel re: our editing plan for rebirthing “Address: House of Corrections” and I am so psyched!
I want to share the final tally from my first round of edits with all of you.
Can ya believe it, Fam?! I finished my first round of edits of “A: HC!”
I know progress can sometimes feel like watching paint dry, but I think it’s important to celebrate steps along the journey, not just the finish line.
I’ve got some good news to report.:)
