Monice, does the world really need another podcast?
Well, I can’t speak for the world, but I know my storytelling soul needed to do this. And I’m hopeful once you see/hear it, you’ll feel the same.
OK. So, what is Works~N~Progress anyway?
First of all, it’s not just a podcast. It’s a podcuseries that pulls back the curtain on the creative process by bringing together diverse storytellers from genres like fiction, poetry, screenwriting, playwriting, journalism and more to share their insights and unfiltered journeys.
Admirable, but sounds like other podcasts you already know about writing, right?
Wrong. On this show, my amazing guests are doing something unheard of — They’re also sharing their works-n-progress and I’m directing professional actors to perform them for us to learn and grow from.
Why would anybody in their right mind make themselves so vulnerable?
Because we know that no matter how experienced you are as a storyteller, we all start with a blank page. And we NEED to inspire, motivate and encourage you to finish your own stories.
Don’t pat me on the back just yet, though. I’m not doing this for selfless reasons, Fam. Nope. I’m excited to learn, grow and finish my stories, too.
And every month with each conversation, I’ll be doing just that with you.

- What is Works~N~Progress about?
It’s a podcuseries that explores the stories and creative processes of diverse storytellers from different genres — before their stories are finished. - How often are new episodes released?
We release a new episode every month, featuring a different storyteller and genre. - Why only once a month? Because with all of the noise in the world today, I intentionally wanted to create a special space with curated storytellers that excite and inspire me, so that they can excite and inspire you, too. Bottom line — These are conversations I want to have, not conversations I have to have.
