GM, Fam! Not sure what time it is where you are, but here’s it’s 5:30 in the morning. That’s pretty damn early for me, but I can’t sleep, because my mind is still racing from my final edit session with Rachel.
Know how you feel safe with someone? How you know you can completely trust where they are gently nudging you to go? By pointing out the things Rachel noticed in my story – some of which I didn’t know or had forgotten were there – she broke down “A:HC” is such a beautiful way, listened to my reasons behind my choices and helped me restructure and complete a key peice of my story’s puzzle.
A good teacher, she also taught me the difference between a hyphen, an En and an Em dash. (Who knew that was a thing? LOL!) And she asked me two burning questions. One , I struggled to anwer and the other, I have to figure out as homework.
She even got me to make another breakthrough that I was unwilling to make when I first wrote “A;HC” years ago. But I’ll save that surprise for you later.
