GRATEFUL TO THE ENTIRE TEAM

Monice Mitchell Simms so great to learn about this part of the world and grateful for the effort of the entire team to get to the finish line. Kudos!” ~ Jason Smigel, SVP Content Development at Wondrium/The Great Courses

NEED FOR MORE DIALOGUE

“Loved the featured travels through Ghana, Senegal and Cameroon. Most of my ancestors where from this area of the world. Those who were human trafficed into forced servitude suffered the worst atrosity which lasted centuries. This presentation opens up a long overdue dialogue about the history of this region and mans inhumanity to each other. Women’s issues will be explored in future conversations. Especially as it relates to FGM in this region of the world.” ~ Piancre57

SOMETHING COMPLETELY NEW TO ME

“I loved this introduction to Ghana, Senegal, and Cameroon, countries that I knew nothing about before watching the episodes. The host is personable and upbeat; and the episodes were well-balanced with a variety of people interviewed. I enjoyed the themes, with food segments in each country, clothing manufacturing, sports, etc. The film work was also well-done and made me feel as if I were there.” ~ Hawk117

“loved it soooooooooo much. Very uplifting! More please :)” ~ SethieMcsethseth

NEW PERSPECTIVE

“This documentary was such a learning experience for me. It gave me a new perspective of Africa, even though the focus was on West Africa. I like how the culture of each country was shared from the cuisine, art, music, resources and the natural landscapes. Very educational and has inspired me to add visiting West Africa on my bucket list.~ Hope64

NATE’S HUMANE FOCUS EVERYWHERE HE GOES

“I binge watched these presentations while recovering from COVID on Feb. 2 2023. Nate packs in multiple topics and venues for each episode. I knew very little about Ghana, Senegal, and Cameroon. Now I feel my knowledge has increased greatly even in such a short viewing span. I liked his interest in interviewing women (who seem all to be of strong character and viewpoints). I appreciated that he expressed the kind of nervousness that I might experience when confronted with picking out a goat to slaughter then and there (mercifully not on camera) before a cooking interlude. I also lrelated to the way he expressed his feelings on his visit to the slave castle iin Ghana. I liked to see his focus on people, projects, and businesses that seek to uplift others and benefit the common good. These “travelogues” are not scholarly courses, but they left me searching out more information on several specific topics in the presentations.” ~ CorneliaH

GREAT ADDITION TO WONDRIUM

“Kudos to Wondrium for adding this engaging and eye-opening course to its history and travel courses. The energetic and willing-to-try-anything instructor brings passion to his undertakings and provides insights to a much-neglected part of the world. This superb class fills a big hole.” ~ ses711

SUPER INFORMATIVE AND RELATABLE

“This series was a such a delight to watch that I ended up binge watching it. The amount of detail that Nate and team put into balancing the history and tourism of each location was magnificent!” ~ Gluc79

LOVE THIS!

“My sense of geography is terrible. I could never place Ghana on a map before this. But I learned so much about the Ghanian people and culture through these videos. Nate is amazing!” ~ medwards1965
