This wonderful woman, Bishop Nkenge Abi, was one of the first to affirm me as a new author.
As the longtime manager of Detroit’s Shrine of the Black Madonna Cultural Center and Bookstore, she opened the doors for my #AddressHouseofCorrections book signing without hesitation. I’ll never forget her warmth and words of support.
