After independently publishing my novel six years ago (yesterday), going on a national book tour and producing it as an audio mini-series, I thought I had done everything I could to get my book into the hands of as many readers as possible.
Then, I realized that I’ve neglected the readers who could benefit from my grandmother’s life-inspired tale the most — Incarcerated girls, ages 13-18.
Which brings me to my mission to chop up “A:HC” and rebirth it as trilogy of bite-size novels to appeal to teenage readers.
