Look At God

Fam, I’ve said this phrase so many times.

Mostly in jest, thanking the Most High for small, everyday blessings…

Nabbing a good parking spot at Trader Joes.

Writing a poem with my favorite pen.

Devouring Sistah’s cornbread right out of the oven.

Now, I’ve had some major fall-on-my-knees-thank-God moments, too. But usually, I’m so overwhelmed with gratitude, I’m in tears.

No joking.

And one week ago today, I found myself joke-less again when I saw the Sahara Desert.

Fam, words can’t express the miracle of this wonder. But there was one thought ever present in mind…

LOOK. AT. GOD.

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that I — a Black girl from Detroit — would be riding a camel and hiking the glorious dunes of this Great Desert.

Even now, as I remember watching the sun rise and sun set over the Sahara sand, it still feels unreal that it happened.

But happened, it did.

And thank you, GOD. I’m grateful.

We took so many pictures and videos, Fam! No way to share them all in one post. So, check out these few and stay tuned to see more from our other adventures this week.

Enjoy!
