Fam, my producer journey continues!
Today I was blessed to attend a Pan African Film & Arts Festival Producers Guild of
America Diversity panel moderated by my friend-producer sensei Sasheen
Artis and featuring creator-producers Maeyen Bassey and Sylvia Jones.
The info was invaluable, but more importantly DOABLE.
Here’s a drop the mic nugget that Sasheen shared —
“It’s not about who you know, it’s who knows you.”
And Maeyen and Sylvia were dropping wisdom, too! I was inspired by their journey
testimonies and connecting with them afterwards was a joy.
Thank you Vonda Paige for inviting me. I so appreciate your friendship and growing
with you as a sister producer. Today was just the shot in the arm I needed.
