Living inside Lauren Halsey emajendat work of art last night!
Fam, have you ever been to an art gallery?
Scratch that…Have you ever been to an interactive art gallery at the Hollywood Bowl?
Hold up…Have you ever been to an in living color, interactive campus wide art galley takeover at Hollywood Bowl, featuring sets from:
- Charles Gaines with Black Nile
- Flea (Yes, that Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers)
- Anderson .Paak (DJ Pee .Wee)
- And headlined by THEE Erykah Badu and The Alchemist?!
Well, if you weren’t lucky enough to live inside LA’s own, Lauren Halsey’s technicolor experience at Hollywood Bowl last night, I can personally tell you, Fam — Yaw missed out!
The music was amazing and Lauren’s stage designs…My pictures don’t do them justice!
Watching her art looking like us and celebrating us as the artists rocked the stage transported the experience to a whole ‘notha dimension.
I have never experienced a concert like this before and now I don’t know if I can ever go back. See for yourself. 😉
Lucky for all of us, there’s still time to enjoy Lauren’s emajenation with her FREE sister dreamer sculpture park at the corner of At the corner of Western Avenue & 76th in South Central LA until the end of November.
I’m planning to go experience it soon. Hopefully, I’ll see some of you there.
Until then, I gonna end this by thanking my sister-friend, Tracie, for getting me outside to enjoy this one of a kind experience on a school night. 😄
