Prejudices and Stereotypes Exposed

Fam, IMO, the best type of art flips the script and makes you hold up a mirror to yourself.

That’s what I intended when I came up with this log line and wrote my TV pilot, #13thGrade:

After getting suspended for her suspected involvement in a student cheating scandal, a Black, privileged Ivy League professor is banished to teach at a Los Angeles community college to earn back the right to teach at her former university.

Still, you never really know if your intention makes the cut until you get it up on its feet.

And if you’re truly blessed, you get to direct great actors like #JoyDeMichelle #JordanaOberman and #NicFew to make your story soar.

Enjoy my #WorksNProgress clip of this scene that flips the script on how you think about privilege.
