Like many women — especially Black ones — I struggle with being vulnerable. And Jemele – as she shared in our #WorksInProgress convo this month – is right there with us.
Bravely, though, she laid her vulnerabilities all bare in her very personal memoir, #Uphill. And she shared how turning her objective gaze on herself challenged and helped her better understand why she became the woman she is today.
