Women in Men’s Locker Rooms: Breaking Barriers in Sports Writing

Fam, anyone that knows me knows that #ZoraNealeHurston is my favorite author. She informed my writing in ways I can’t explain. But unfortunately, she passed away before I was born. So, I never got a chance to meet and thank her.

I’m glad, though, Jemele was able to give flowers to women sports journalists, who broke the glass ceiling for her to interview players in male locker rooms during our #WorksNProgress conversation.

Enjoy the clip and let’s lift up their names, too!

Legendary sports journalist #LisaOlson,  Baseball Hall of Fame writer, #ClaireSmith, and especially a fellow female sports reporter that gave Jemele the best advice 😆, TY for your courageous contributions to sports journalism!
