Wow. This one hurts.
#StarTrek is my mom’s favorite TV show. We’ve bonded over it since I was a child and to this day, she still watches the original series every night before she goes to bed.
I was also blessed to meet and interview #NichelleNichols at her home for a documentary produced by my dear sister-friend Tracie Ponder years ago.
Rest in peace, Ms. Nichols. And THANK YOU for boldly taking us where no Black woman had ever gone before.
